The occurrence of traffic accidents not only causes casualties and misfortune to many families, but also creates a serious impact on the social development and stability. As such, it has drawn significant attention and concerns from all levels of government. When people talk about "accident", the first response is to associate it with road and traffic accidents and their causes. In this paper, a considerable amount of data has been used to summarize the characteristics of traffic accidents. It comes to the conclusion that the occurrence of traffic accidents falls into a certain error structure while the causes of the accident could be complicated and diversified. Through studying the "people, vehicles, roads" and other factors, this paper presents the preliminary measures for preventing and reducing the occurrence of traffic accidents for the initiation of efficient and effective strategies.
